Araki - Self, Death, Life

Araki Nobuyoshi, the photographer came out with some flowers that capture death and life, much like the 'white' concept coined by k,Hara. The silence came after chaos is tensional. Life itself can desire as the begging of death and araki's work capture those two elements instantaneously with his camera.

Tradition Suprise

Mimosa pudica (Sensitive Plant) 

Tradition Suprising, my tradition was different from that of here. In terms of opening Christmas presents on Boxing day the 26th December. But i receive the presents in front of the receiver this years and to my surprise they opened their presents in front of me. Needless to say some of the 'anticipation' was loss and shame is reveal as if my thoughts was punctured by holes.
I think Design is that same thing, when Naoto Fukawasa said 'designers do not like their 'output' (product or whatever fields of design) to read right away.' Human behaviour(Japanese Sensibilities) is like Mimosa pudica (Sensitive Plant) when touched directly, shrivel up in embarrassment. He doesn't like his design to be read right away.

Achieve the impossible

If information is what we claim to know, then ex-formaiton is the process of making things known, unknown. Revitalise the happiness in discovery again.

Case: Pigeon Vs Dove.

We deliberately avoid pigeons feeding on the ground, but these motionless white manicure i propose encourage us to pause for a moment and examine the object. Causes interruption in our normal routine. On close inspection these manicure have sculptured with pigeon like details. Once the stone dove not think to look at twice is brought to our attention by a series of vessels. [ diagram ] [ diagram bowling ]

Birds has been a natural habitat of the sky. Yet they are at their most vulnerable during flight. I believe birds would be a good natural candidate to entrance to imagination. The sight of pigeons pecking on crumbs and stones made me curious how on many life form are capable of flexing their neck during feeding.

Is Souvenir Needed?

We then proceed to talk about souvenir and its nature in the modern world. Is it really needed to open up a souvenir shop? The word souvenir dated back in 18th century in Fance where it means memento, if a piece of memory from that particular place resonate with the person at that time. A photograph, a local produce(Japan is a good example of very keen of its locality from region to region). It also depends on the two type of stereotypical mention in the book culture in design by Guy Julier, Where tourist expect the rare sight of locality to be common. Their mindset is to take pleasure in whatever they see. Whereas a traveler for good or worse experience the 'reality' of the foreign country.
